Frequently Asked Questions

What match data does Padel Analytics record?
Padel Analytics records the full set-by-set score (including tiebreaks, golden point, and advantage rules), your partner, your opponents, a perceived-effort rating (1–10), and a physical-discomfort rating after each match. You can optionally import duration, heart rate, and energy expenditure from Apple Health or Health Connect. All data is entered or imported by you — nothing is estimated or invented.
How do the effort and discomfort ratings work?
After each match you assign two 1–10 ratings: Perceived Effort (how hard the match felt overall) and Physical Discomfort (any joint or muscle complaints). This method is based on the Borg Rating of Perceived Exertion scale (Borg, 1970), a validated tool for quantifying subjective training load. Tracking both over time makes overload patterns visible before they escalate into injury.
Which wearables and apps are supported?
Padel Analytics syncs with Apple Watch (Series 4 or later) via Apple Health on iOS, and supports Health Connect on Android for devices that write workout data there — Garmin, Polar, Fitbit, and others. Health sync is optional; you can track every match without any wearable.
Is my match data stored in the cloud or shared with anyone?
No. All match data is stored exclusively on your device. There is no mandatory account, no server upload, and no data sharing. You can export a local backup at any time, but your data never leaves your device without your explicit action.
What padel scoring formats does the app support?
The app supports the main competitive formats: standard advantage rules, golden point (sudden death on deuce), and super-tiebreak final sets (first to 10 points). You select the format before logging each match, so the records accurately reflect the rules played.
